Refunds and cancellation
Effective 7 October 2026
The short version. A charge for a missed day is refunded if the day turns out to have been kept: appeal within 14 days or send your proof late within 14 days. A person will review any decision if you ask. You can stop future charges by ending a promise or deleting your account. The subscription is cancelled, and refunded, through the App Store or Google Play.
Charges for a missed day
The amount you set on a promise is charged to your card when a day is missed. It is a fee you agreed to, and it is not refundable except in the cases below.
When a charge is refunded
- Your appeal is upheld. You can appeal a missed day within 14 days, saying what happened, with pictures, a video or a voice note if you like. If the appeal is upheld, the day counts and its charge is refunded.
- You send proof late. Proof sent within 14 days of the day it was for counts if it shows the day was kept, and its charge is refunded.
- A person finds the check was wrong. Proof and appeals are checked automatically. If you believe a decision that led to a charge was wrong, you can ask a person on our team to review it, within 60 days of the charge. If they agree, the charge is refunded. We answer within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
- We made a mistake. If we charge you in error, or a failure on our side stopped you proving a day, tell us and we will refund it.
If you chose "hard" for a promise, it takes no appeals. That choice is yours and is shown before you swear the promise. A person will still review, if you ask, whether the check itself was mistaken.
How to ask
In the app, open Money, tap the charge, and choose Appeal, Send proof, or "Ask a person to review". If you no longer have the app, write to spatialsimp@gmail.com from the email address on your account.
How a refund arrives
Refunds go back to the card that was charged, and usually arrive within 5 to 10 business days.
Stopping future charges
- Take a day off. Three days off a month are yours when you ask ahead of time. A day off is not a miss and nothing is charged for it.
- End a promise, or make it easier. For ten minutes after swearing a promise you can undo it as if it was never made. After that, ending it or making it easier takes effect after a week's notice, or is decided against the rule you wrote for yourself.
- Limits that hold without your asking. No missed day costs more than $100, and nobody is charged more than $200 in a week across all their promises. After three missed days in a row on a promise, further misses on it are not charged until you keep a day again. If you set a lower weekly limit of your own, charges stop at it.
- Delete your account. Settings, Delete account. Your running promises end that day and nothing more is charged for them. Charges already made stay made. See Delete your account.
- Remove your card. You can remove your card whenever no promise is running and nothing is owed.
Swear It Plus, the subscription
- Cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings (in Swear It: Settings, Swear It Plus, Manage subscription takes you there). Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date and you are not charged for the next period.
- The free trial turns into the paid plan unless you cancel before it ends.
- Refunds for the subscription are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies: reportaproblem.apple.com, or your order history in Google Play.
- Promises you have already sworn keep running after you cancel, and misses on them are still charged. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel the subscription.

Nothing here limits refund rights the law gives you where you live. The full rules are in the Terms of Use.
